As a part of my work as the in-house graphic designer at Big Valley Grave Community Church, I was responsible for creating the artwork for each sermon series. Typically I would be responsible for creating artwork for 6-8 series per year. This project was for a series based around the book of Proverbs.

Design Process
Step 1
IDEATION
For my initial sketches I wanted to explore various ideas that incorporated imagery pertaining to the ideas of wisdom or guidance. Some images I came up with were lanterns, stars, and winding paths. In the end, my favorite idea was a maze. I believe the maze captures the idea of the complexity and multitude of decisions we face in everyday life.
Step 2
Refine Concepts
Once the initial sketch was approved, I got to work bring the artwork to life digitally. I created the maze using 3d tools in Adobe Illustrator. Next, I pulled the mazin into Photoshop to add the other scene elements, texture, and a misty background.
Step 3
Final Design
Once I had created the final artwork, I was able to create slide templates, banners, note sheets, and other materials for the series.
